Queens for a day - NO FOREVER!

Greetings! Lindsay and I enjoyed a fabulous weekend with our very dear friends, Karin and Rachael. Karin and I have been friends for more than 17 years. When we both moved from NY, we began the tradition of taking a "girls" weekend each year. Somewhere along the line, this birthed the idea of being QUEENS. Eventually, we decided it was time to indoctrinate our daughters who have now been officially anointed PRINCESSES - hence all the tiaras. Yes, we all wear them ALL weekend long. We get alot of looks and questions and in general, a positive response. It is all in good fun. This year we visited Asheville, NC and the Biltmore Estate. If you have never been there, we do recommend it. If you have visited the Biltmore, go back again as the tours change as they open (or reopen) different parts of the mansion. We enjoyed High Tea at the Inn on the Estate. This was a marvelous experience. We were able to enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the grounds and mountains. The food was delicious. Asheville is a wonderful mountain community. The downtown area is wonderfully diverse. We found a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant - The Jerusalem Garden Cafe - authentic cuisine, live music and belly dancing. We give it 4 tiaras (the highest rating). We mustn't forget the shopping - that was great fun too!
