March always seems to have a lot going on - NCAA Basketball playoffs, we welcome Spring, St. Patrick's Day...well, for our family, this March was no different. After celebrating Brianna's Birthday, we had so many more exciting, fun, thrilling experiences. Pat and I took Ari and Matt to see the Famous Harlem Globetrotters here in Atlanta. This was Ari's first basketball game - I am pretty sure that the game itself was not very appealing to him, not nearly as much as the ice cream! After the basketball game, we enjoyed a walk through Centennial Park - a first for Ari and Matt. Ari particularly enjoyed the dancing fountains and making wishes when throwing pennies in the water.
Lindsay has some thrilling news to report...she tried out for the Lassiter High School Dance Team and made it! She is so excited (last year she tried out and didn't make it, so making it this year is that much more fantastic!) The dance team, in addition to competing, also performs at home games for both football and basketball. Looks like Pat and I will not be saying goodbye to those Friday Night Lights just yet!
Lassiter High School kicked off the Metro Atlanta 2007 Prom Season, celebrating their prom on March 17th at the Georgia Aquarium. You guessed it, Zach escorted his girlfriend Lauren. They made a beautiful couple and had a fantastic time.
We discovered Cobb County's first ever dog park. We rushed over to the park, with Frodo, so he could enjoy his first ever "off-leash" experience. It was very disappointing. Frodo was not very impressed being grouped with the other dogs. Judging by his behavior at the park, it appears that Frodo fancies himself more of a person than a dog! He actually preferred SITTING on the bench with Pat and I over romping and sniffing with the dogs. The entire situation reminded me of the movie "Born Free"...I found myself thinking "Go on, be a lion Elsa!" Oh well, we will continue to try it because I like going there. By the way, Frodo turned 5 on St. Paddy's Day.
Pictures included in this entry are from all of the events I mentioned. We still have Ryan's 22nd birthday to look forward to in a couple of weeks, as well as Pat's Mom's (we will be visiting her in Arizona). Stay tuned for those entries, and according to our calendar, there will be many more to come in April and May!
