Odds and Ends in May

May was an extremely busy month for us...in addition to the other news I posted, we had the pleasure to celebrate several graduations! Actually Memorial Day Weekend was one big party hopping experience for us...Many of our friends had sons graduating from high school this year. I would like to take the opportunity to congratulate again Aaron, Andrew, Dylan, Jacob & Justin on their graduations and wish them the best of luck while they all embark on the next phase of their education and leave for college (GO Game Cocks, Hoosiers, Yellow Jackets, Owls & Mountaineers).

We also enjoyed celebrating Melissa's Graduation from Georgia State University! Missy earned her BS in Mathematics (boy is she smart!) and aspires to become a HS Math Teacher. We are very proud of her and I know she is happy to finally be finished with school (at least for a while!).

I am sure I have previously mentioned in this blog that Pat and I have a busy concert schedule, mostly as a result of his constantly winning tickets. On Memorial Day we were able to sneak in a concert at the new amphitheater in Alpharetta. We saw Joe Cocker and Steve Miller. We had awesome seats - 5 rows off the stage, center. Joe Cocker was amazing (and a personal favorite)...both Lindsay and Zach like Steve Miller so we got them tickets for the show too! We tailgated in the parking lot prior to the show and were joined by some friends for the fun. Adding to the flavor of the experience was the wacko who sat next to us (I think he said his name was Dave)...he was an old geezer, who drank too much and was crazy.
