This past weekend, Pat and I had the pleasure of cheering for Ari on the sidelines while he played soccer...sort of. It was actually a lot of fun and it brought back a lot of memories for both Pat and I - all of the boys played soccer at about that age, and well, all of them played soccer like Ari and his friends did. Mostly they are more interested in water breaks and anything else besides chasing that ball down the field. But when Ari realized he had a very active cheering section, he made sure he was on the top of his game. There were a few times he took control of the ball and kicked it down field (in the right direction I might add), so it was in scoring distance. There is some controversy amongst our family about what the ultimate score of the game...Pat swears it was a tie score, but Matt insists there was a one point difference. Ari took home some bling - a new trophy for his growing collection.
