Zach

Zach is a Senior this year and enjoying all of the privileges this title brings. He completed his 4th and final marching band season. This year the band competed in a national competition in St. Louis...we had a bit of a shock as the band was awarded 3rd place (nothing to sneeze at - they were 3rd out of 55 bands) and we are spoiled and accustomed to taking 1st place regularly. Honestly, this was my favorite of the 4 shows Zach participated in. We are still catching our breath now that marching season is over, finishing up on college applications. Zach will be taking advantage of the Hope Scholarship (an academic scholarship awarded to Georgia resident students with a B or better average, who attend an in-state school). So far Zach has one acceptance in the bag - Gainesville State College. Zach has many fun and exciting things to look forward to this year - Senior Formal, Senior Prom, End of Year Banquets for both Band and Debate Team, Senior Luncheon...oh, and Graduation. Somehow, Zach has to fit going to school in there...and staying focused so he finishes up with a bang, grade wise. Zach is coming up on his year anniversary at his job - he buses tables at a local restaurant and forever the drummer, he takes percussion lessons.

This picture is from Homecoming (October) - he went with his girlfriend Lauren.
